Our surf retreat philosophy

Why we believe in surf retreats

A view of the ocean through a forested hillside with trees and greenery in the foreground.

Sea Together was founded by a second-generation surfer with 20 years in the water, and our surf retreats were born in 2019, from a lifelong love of surfing and the ocean.

We come together to surf, explore, laugh, learn, create, and spend time outside. To be challenged in our surfing, but also to discover what else we learn through our surfing.

Every place we visit becomes part of the experience. The waves, landscape, culture, and vibe of each place shape the retreat. We believe in hosting surf retreats in places where we, our friends and/or collaborators have a genuine relationship with the place and people in the place.

Each retreat is its own experience — shaped by the surf sisters who join, the place we're in, and what unfolds. Our approach is informed by our Founder Brianna's background in contemporary art.

We also want our retreats to be a safe space for everyone, where you can show up as fully yourself. Our retreats are alcohol- and drug-free spaces.

We hope you leave with a deeper relationship to surfing, a connection to the place you've visited, a new creative way of seeing or experiencing things, and at least one new sea sister friend.

Come for surfing. And discover what else unfolds through and around surfing.

We're not trying to be like other surf retreats. We're trying to be ourselves — and in turn, invite you to come be yourself with us.
